product details
YOKOGAWA SC25V-AGP25-120
The Yokogawa SC25V-AGP25-120 is a general-purpose combination pH sensor engineered for industrial process and wastewater treatment applications requiring reliable real-time pH monitoring. As Yokogawa’s first 12mm combination pH sensor featuring an external liquid earth electrode, this unit integrates a pH glass electrode, Ag/AgCl reference system, titanium liquid earth, and Pt1000 temperature sensor into a single compact housing-1. The sensor delivers consistent measurement stability across demanding environments where accurate pH control directly impacts product quality and regulatory compliance.

Key Features
Large Electrolyte Reservoir – Increased KCl volume extends operational lifetime well beyond conventional 12mm pH sensor designs-17.
External Titanium Liquid Earth – Enhances measurement stability in low-conductivity and dirty process streams, reducing ground loop errors-1.
ATEX/IECEx Intrinsic Safety Certification – ATEX II 1G Ex ia IIC T3…T6 Ga. Permits safe installation in hazardous areas with gas groups IIA, IIB, and IIC-26. Ambient temperature compatibility for T6 (–40°C to +40°C), T4/T5 (–40°C to +55°C), and T3 (–40°C to +105°C)-26.
Wide Temperature & Pressure Capability – Handles processes from freezing to 130°C (266°F) at pressures up to 10 bar-1.
Integrated Pt1000 Temperature Compensation – Delivers highly accurate automatic compensation for pH measurement drift-17.
Porous PTFE Reference Junction – Large-surface-area diaphragm provides stable reference potential and resists fouling-24.
Low Conductivity Performance – Reliable measurement down to 10 µS/cm, suitable for high-purity water monitoring-17.
CIP & Steam Cleanable – Hygienic design supports in-place cleaning protocols without sensor removal-17.
Variopin Connector – Facilitates rapid sensor replacement and secure electrical connection-17.
Installation & Compatibility
For mounting in Yokogawa fittings, a PG13.5 to M25 adapter is available. The SC25V-AGP25-120 can be installed line, in a PR10 retractable fitting, FF20 flow fitting, FS20 subassembly, or FD20 immersion fitting-2. The sensor interfaces with intrinsically safe certified pH transmitters including the Yokogawa FLXA21 series, PH202S series, or Smart Adapter SA11-P1 (for ID-chip equipped versions)-26. Maximum cable length is 100 meters-.
Set/AGP Suffix Code System
The AGP25 suffix designates a general-purpose analog configuration for ATEX/IECEx environments, suitable for typical industrial processes, surface water monitoring, and general wastewater treatment-. For high-temperature, chemically aggressive applications, the SC25V-ALP25 variant is recommended. The Variopin-equipped combined sensor configuration (pH, reference, liquid earth, temperature) is fully contained within the 12mm shaft—all active measuring elements are located within 25mm of the sensor tip-26.
Electrical Data for Intrinsically Safe Circuits
| Parameter | Value (without ID-chip) | Value (with ID-chip) |
| Voltage (Ui) | 18 V | 18 V |
| Current (Ii) | 170 mA | 170 mA |
| Power (Pi) | 0.4 W | 0.4 W |
| Inductance (Li) | 0 mH | 0 mH |
| Capacitance (Ci) | 0 nF | 0.4 nF |
For intrinsically safe installations, the sensor must be connected to a certified associated pH transmitter that meets the specified input circuit restrictions. Connection to non-intrinsically safe equipment voids the hazardous area suitability-26.
Applications
Chemical processing (brine solutions, scrubber systems), power generation (flue gas desulfurization scrubbers), petrochemical separation (API separators in wastewater treatment, MEG/TEG processes), industrial effluent neutralization, surface water monitoring, food and beverage CIP circuits, high-purity water systems, and general wastewater treatment facilities.
